Good Afternoon,

We do not recommend eating gourd blossoms they are not toxic however many people seem to have an adverse reaction to eating them even if they have eaten squash blossoms. Reaction include: swelling of the throat, stomach upset, cramping, nausea, diarrhea, etc

Except for the luffa gourd and the bitter gourd most gourds are slightly toxic and can cause diarrhea and should not be eaten. They are not considered edible because they are extremely hard and woody.
