This is a really gorgeous ring! This is a size 7.25 5ct Brilliant cut White Topaz w/5 White Topaz accents on either side for another 2ctw in a 925 stamped setting.

Hi Bunny,
I'm a wire jewelry designer and bench jeweler. I just thought some expert advice may help with the sizing questions. This ring could easily go up 1/2 size simply by placing it on a metal ring mandrel and hammering it down the shaft with a leather mallet since it is solid sterling which is fairly soft. Other than that, all of the stones would have to be removed before attempting to cut and solder in a sterling plug (matching size 1/2-round shank piece) to make it bigger, and most jewelers don't want to mess with that because of the tedious work and time involved.
As far as making it smaller, again the stones would have to be removed before cutting and soldering because Topaz can't withstand the heat temp needed to complete the task. Pretty much every other gemstone has this issue... with the exception of sapphires and diamonds due to their hardness of 9 and 10 on the MOHS scale. Hope this helps!

It certainly does!! I have told people only a jeweler can say for sure, but, I do know the location of stones matter a bunch when it comes to sizing.

I have a 10kt mothers ring that I need sized down, but I have just put it off..LOL My sister casts her own gold and silver but, she is afraid she will mess it up. She made me the most amazing pendant necklace for Christmas. Since she is still learning the craft, I have a ton of silver in mine..LOL It has a gorgeous Blue Opal and a Blue Topaz.. The effect is really gorgeous!

A jeweler could answer that better than I. Because of the way the stones are mounted and packed so tightly together, I would guess that would be a no. Like I said, I do not know for sure..just an educated guess.. sorry.
