Amethyst most of the time doesn't have a great sparkle, but this ring does. A very deep color. Just beautiful to see

I have a question for anyone that can answer it. I paid a lot of money for this ring and it's Gold over Sterling Silver with real stones. I have seen rings that are only plated and with no real stone and they go for 3 to 4 times what this ring is going for. I don't understand the reason WHY?
