So the lesson is, short & sweet... You spend forever searching (unless you have insider info) You find a coin(s) attached to a 25 cent piece of junk with instructions in Japanese... You bid thousands of credits which you are actually giving to Listia... Now you are broke IF you win & you get a 1 oz silver coin worth $20 OR LESS, that may or MAY NOT ever increase in value... & the whole promo was a BIG LIE to take good members for mega-credits... In the process, Listia has managed to alienate MANY good members, A LOT who are just leaving the site because they feel they were taken !!! Hey bidders, good luck, Het Listia, Good Job... Way to keep your site popular, hope it was worth it !!!

Just wanted to add that there is no point in fanning this fake Eureaka account. But, I do fan back anyone who fans me. So, if you're frustrated by searching or decided to call it done with the whole Silver ordeal (like I have--back to Listia as normal for me!), stop by and fan me and I'll fan you back and check out your auctions. At least then YOU will get the benefits of having your auctions get more traffic. :-)

everybody start FLAGGING these auctions!! these are SCAMS!! listia is laughing at everybody that is giving all there credits to them cause that's where your credits are going if you bid on these auctions!! this is just another way for listia to get your credits!!!! I thought they would hide the coins in members auctions at least.... but there not!! they have put there own auctions up so they can get the credits!! such a scam!!!!!!!!!

I don't see why people are complaining........of course listia is going to want you opening the most pages to search for the coins........how do you think they make most of their $? You guys say the credits are going to listia.......? Really????? When is the last time you were able to pay to run a website using credits???? People barely ever actually BUY credits....Listia makes a lot of their income from ADS, SURVEYS, etc. A credit or 100 million credits means NOTHING to listia because just like the Federal reserve does these days....they MAKE THEM UP FROM NOTHING
??? SO why would it be malicious of them at all to "want" them back from winners of the silver rush auctions like people are complaining about in the comments??? What on earth would they gain from that????
They already said that you would have to find and then bid for to win the silver.....did you guys actually think that at least a handful of people wouldn't up the price of the silver-containing auctions? Even if the item in the auction wasn't a worthless item you normally wouldn't even take a look at?? Nobody is forcing you to bid. If the particular silver they're giving away is SO invaluable to you ungrateful jerks, then head over to apmex to buy some!!

So, I just added up the credits that just 35 of these crap auctions are up to presently... Now remembering, this is only around 1/2 that are up (as far as I have read) & many still have 1 to 2 days to go, so probably will go up even more... But right now, these 35 auctions are totaling 1,229,053 hard-earned credits Listia is taking from Listians. I AM NOT WHINING BTW, cause I AM NOT bidding my credits... I am simply pointing out facts. If you double that figure, because I only added up 35 of the non-finished auctions, it means Listia is going to be taking around 2,458,106 credits... They believe that is a good thing to do to the people who use the site & keep them popular online & spread the word about Listia on Facebook & Twitter & via email & word-of-mouth... To me, that is just sad, especially when you consider that a LOT of people who DID bid, did so before all this info came to light !!! Boooo @ Listia :-(

listia looses TOOONS of credits every day due to scammers listings fake auctions, so this is the most intelligent scam I have ever seen!! listia has come up with a way to get there credits back by putting up there own auctions and saying its for us and throwing in the word silver so we will give them all our hard earned credits and pay off there debt for them!! WAY TO LISTIA!!! its working!! listia should be in the surplus for credits now!!!

The "V" Listians won't fan you back. They are accounts that were created before hand just for the silver mine listings. Just a guess but I would think so. :)

I think the thing is Listia wants you to get more credits...not everyone earned credits through hard work necessarily...its a site meant for trading..not doing surveys all day to amass the equivalent of 1$ in credits

this is TOOOOO FUNNY!! I wonder if listia will respond to all this mess this silver coin stuff has caused..... everybody attacking, messaging and blocking each other over actions or comments people has left, I bet this has ran listia off and they probably wont ever do anything like this EVER again!! even if it was for the good or for the bad as people claim...I have no opinion in this either way, I just wanted to see what everybody was talking about in these auctions and see what the outcome and what listians thought about it,, and everyone I have been to has had really bad comments and very unhappy listians..... when I first heard about this I never thought it would have so much negativity and such a bad outcome, lol, but that's the way it goes sometimes I guess... well.... I want to wish everyone goodluck and happy bidding if its not to late, lol
