Don't know the exact carats on the stones. The center stone is a Rainbow Topaz and is at least 4-5 carats it is a big stone. The two accent stones on each side of the topaz is amethyst an at least 1/4 to 1.2 carats a piece.
The Rainbow Mystic Topaz is not a naturally occurring topaz but refers to a natural topaz that has been treated by chemically bonding titanium to the topaz. To create the Mystic Topaz, a natural, colorless topaz is coated with a thin layer of titanium or similar metal. The coating is only microns thick and is applied to the stone’s pavilion, the underside angled portion that typically forms the bulk of the gem.
Yes it is....the stone is natural white topaz...so it is natural white topaz that has been enhanced. So it is a natural white Topaz stone that has been enhanced'. There is natural white quartz that is enhanced to look like the white Topaz that has been enhanced the difference its its hardness the quartz is much softer. There is also what is called Azotic Topaz they can be told apart by the coloring the Mystic Topaz is darker in color reflects purples blues and greens. The Azotic topaz is more pinkish yellow. So in conclusion the stone is natural dear but enhanced.
Not sure on re-sizing it dear. I do know when rhodium plating is used to pretect the silver when you have it re sized it is best to have the rhodium put back in order to keep the rest of the rhodium from flaking. Plus the heat they use to heat the silver could also damage the stone.
