Description

The listing, Used U.S. Stamp #4266 42¢ Minnesota Statehood has ended.

On May 17, 2008, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Postal Service™ issued a 42–cent commemorative stamp, Minnesota Statehood. The ceremony was held on the grounds of the Capitol during the Sesquicentennial Festival. With the issuance of this stamp in 2008, the Postal Service commemorates the 150th year of Minnesota’s statehood. The stamp was designed by Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, Maryland, and features a photograph by Richard Hamilton Smith of Park Rapids, Minnesota. The photograph shows a view northwest of the city of Winona.

The stamp pictured is the exact stamp you will receive. Add this attractive commemorative issue to your collection! It is in fine used condition with a very light cancel and I have removed all traces of adhesive from the back. It takes about 5 minutes to do this (gently and carefully) so I only do it for the nicer issues which have non-water soluble adhesives or issues like this one where the face of the stamp would crumble and crack when placed in water. If you think about it...it would take me an hour just to work on 12 stamps. But the result is a very nice clean stamp. Free shipping worldwide!
