how long is it. can it be shortened. do the dials in the middle work.

It measures approximately 8" around the inside of the band. It has links around the band, but I don't know if it can be shortened by taking some out. And since it needs a battery, I don't know if the middle dials work, but since it is brand new, I would imagine that they do. Thanks.
