She tells of her unusual childhood of being the daughter of rock n roll singer John Phillips of the musical group, The Mamas and the Papas.

She wrote this book she says in the hope that it might help other girls who have been in similar situations involving incest and helping them to come to terms with it and tells of her own guilt and shame and the secret that she held for so many years that almost killed her.
