I love this lettuce, I always plant this in my garden every year. I love to go out and pick some out of my garden and put it in a salad! It doesn't get any fresher than that :)

Lactuca sativa Lettuce is a ANNUAL/BIENNIAL growing to 0.9 m (3ft) by 0.3 m (1ft in).
It is hardy to zone 6 and is not frost tender. It is in flower from Jul to August, and the seeds ripen from Aug to September. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Flies, self.The plant is self-fertile.

Suitable for: light (sandy) and medium (loamy) soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.
