Description

The listing, Heirloom ✽ VINTAGE WINE ✽ Specialty Tomato ✽ 15 Seeds ✽ Organic has ended.

This will be a wonderful new addition to your garden. Strong potato-leaf plants produce a bounty of pastel-hued to red 1 pound tomatos with gold stripes and pronounced, elegant flavor. These actually were an early producer for us, but had a bit of cracking on the top until mid to late season. Then we had an abundance of beautiful, uniform fruits with delightful colors and flavor. One of my customers called this the Easter Tomato because of the brilliant colors. This is popular at markets. I added the deep red flesh to my marinara and salsas. They can be canned like any other red tomato. Delish!

Days: 84
Size: indeterminate
Season: late-season
Color: red
Type: OP Heirloom
Uses: canning, salsa, slicing, salads, fresh eating

This Auction: You will be receiving 15 seeds from my garden. They will be sent First Class mail for FREE in the United States. I only take Paypal for International bidders. I will also combine any additional auction seeds (within 5 days) for no additional shipping charge. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 65°F in the spring. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot and thin to one plant per container. After four weeks, transplant seedlings to larger pots, and about 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny, highly composted location when soil temperatures are at least 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Stake or cage the plants for support and to prevent sprawling on the ground.
