Description
The listing, Antique Vaseline Or Uranium Glass Sherbert has ended.
This is a cute little green depression era vaseline or uranium glass footed sherbert. As you can see from the first photo it does glow under a blacklight. There is no mark on it to indicate the company that made this piece and it doesn't have a pattern or etching of any kind on it. So the maker is a complete mystery. It has no damage, no chips, cracks, or flea bites. It has two seams and ripples in the glass. It measures about 4.5 inches tall. I have taken pictures of it from all angles including a close up of the seam and ripples, please review them and make your own judgements regarding this piece. I CAN NOT ship this for free so please do not ask me to. Unfortunately the post office has raised their rates again as well. I ship USPS to the USA only currently, with tracking. I do combine shipping when possible and I ship once a week. You will need to provide your zip code for a combined quote. I take paypal only for shipping payments! DO NOT bid if you don't have paypal! All my items come from a smoke free and pet friendly (dog/cat) home. All of my items are sold as! If you have any questions please ask them before placing a bid. I do not refund credits for buyer's remorse so be sure you really want this before bidding. I follow all of listia's rules so be sure you know them and are prepared to follow them as well. All rude comments will be flagged and users leaving them will be blocked. Be sure to fan me for upcoming auctions. Happy bidding!
Questions & Comments
I'm sorry I bid on the uranium sherbert glass and then saw you only take paypal for shipping. I do not have paypal. but would be willing to send you a check or give you extra credits for shipping.
I won't accept a personal check but if you win I'll make an exception and accept a postal money order. You may get outbid though, there is still an hour and a half left.
Will you please go back and read my listing description? :) That question has all ready been answered. Usually when people ask me to ship for free when I Can't offer it (on small items like this I always offer it when I can afford to) they at least offer me a GIN of higher than the opening bid when they ask me to ship for free. Makes it more pleasant to deal with.
My mistake I thought you commented on my vaseline glass marble auction. I can never afford to ship glasware for free. I'm charging just about what it costs me to ship it.
Sorry I just got your screen phone I'm still trying to figure this thing out. Back to what I was saying. G. I. N. That's all I have. so if not I do appreciate it anyways and you have a lovely auction. I have a great day.
If it was my marble auction I could probably do it but I just can't afford to with something bigger like this especially since USPS just raised their rates again last week. I used to be able to ship something like this for around $5. Not the case now. I was using my phone when I left the last comment so I understand on the phone it can get can confusing. Thanks & have a great day. Sorry if I sounded rude. I wish I could ship everything I list for free. One day maybe...
I didn't refer to it as being "rare" or "collectible" in my listing description so I am a bit confused as to why you commented about it not being rare but collectible . I never claimed it was either as both terms are fairly subjective terms to most people. Industry standards however are a different story. Some people feel everything antique is "rare" and "collectible" and then some people consider beanie babies and pokemon cards to be "rare" and "collectible". I simply gave the info I have on the piece with no speculation and will leave it up to listians what it's value is to each of them interested in it.
