Aster is the birth flower for September. If you were born in September, then Aster is your flower. They represent daintiness, and are known as a symbol of love.

Try these for an end of season pick me up. Show off these robust, bushy, wilt resistant annuals as a stunning display in the front of a sunny border, in containers, standing alone as a brilliant accent or a cut flower with a long lasting vase life. These "Queens" have 3" blooms in a rose color. They are heat resistant, virtually worry free, and will produce non-stop blooms from summer until the first hard frost. Dead heading will keep the plant tidy and promote continuous blooms.

Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost or press seed into soil and lightly cover after danger of frost and keep moist to germinate. Kept at 70 degrees, germination is in 5-15 days. Sow 3-5 seeds per plant for larger compact, bushier mounds.
