Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) – Biennial – Germ: 10 - 15 days; Plant Spring after last average frost date; Press onto soil surface; 18” spacing; Full Sun; Height: 36"; Blooms: White & Purple; Summer to Early Fall
Elecampane (Inula helenium) – Perennial - Germ: 4 - 30 days; Sow: Press into surface; Spacing: 18-24"; Spring-Fall; Pre-chill; Full Sun; Height: 72”; Yellow Blooms from July to August; harvest Dig up 2nd or 3rd year roots in the fall
Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) – Perennial - Germ: 21 days; Sow: 3/8" deep; Early Spring or late Summer/early Fall; cold stratification; Sun to part shade; Spacing: 12"; Height: 48-72"; Blooms White; from June to August; Cut off the Valerian stalks at ground level with a scythe when ready to harvest. The best time is between August and September, preferably in the second year of growth.
