FAS = Fused Alloy Silver. It means that another alloy, such as copper, has been infused into the piece, usually to add strength, or more shine. 925 Means that 92.5 % of the piece is pure silver & 7.5% is something else.

Oh ok, thought it was a signature. Thank you for the help on that. I know that .925 is not pure silver though.
