The listing, Pink Tot a long - Baby On Board - Toddler "Leash" has ended.

I hate using the word "leash" when referring to a child, but I think they actually call it that...

I got this at a consignment store but then never used it. My daughter wasnt the type to run off, luckily;)
Maybe one of you could use it?
I believe it goes on the adults arm and the childs arm.

I used to think it was messed up to put a child on one of these, but now I realize that they're too young to be embarrased about it and it keeps them safe from being kidnapped or running off, it only takes a second. Good auction though, thanks for posting :) also fanned you :)

its not being "messed up" if you just watch your kid you wont have to worry about them getting kidnapped or lost.

katiclary, please dont judge other moms by assuming that they are just not watching their child. We dont know what other peoples reasons are, personally I do watch mine but there are times I have to look away like looking for food at the grocery store.

@katiclary ok so you're out taking a walk with your toddler, holding his hand, and all of a sudden he sees something across the street he just HAS to have. Suddenly he yanks his hand out of yours- his hands are so small and yours are so sweaty from holding onto his for so long- he darts out into the road, despite your shouts for him to STOP! He 's not listening, he just wants that puppy or that ball on the other side of the street, unaware that Joe Blow driving in his car decided at that moment to look down and change the radio station. You see the car, you scream for him to stop, but it's too late........

This almost happened to me at a yard sale. My child jerked his hand out of mine to run after something he'd just spotted. He ran between two parked cars out into the street, there was a big van coming, luckily the driver saw us waving and heard me scream. If I'd had one of these on us, this would never have happened.

It's not about irresponsible parents, it's about keeping your child safe from the unknown. I got one of these and it was invaluable when out or in crowds of people. My little one could practice some independence, being too big for a stroller, and too heavy to carry. And I could always know he was right there, holding my hand, safely. I had so many people tell me they wish they'd made these when they were raising their kids. Some kids don't need them, and to their parents, I say you are truly blessed. I, however, was blessed with very curious and independently-minded children. This "leash" became indispensable.
