The listing, 1917 $2 Wine Tax Stamp has ended.

In 1917, the Russian Revolution would depose Czar Nicholas II: the US would become involved in World War I; and the US government would collect $2 in tax on wine--$2 as a result of this stamp (at the time being equal to about half a working man's daily salary in 1917!) This unusual and hard to find tax stamp is being offered. Please enlarge to see the fine quality of this stamp the winner will receive along with free bonus stamps.
