rooting the phone doesnt change the esn.... it jist allows you to add and change apps roms customization ect but ur esn remains inta t.but your phone can be flashed to other carriers like cricket, boost ect or the phone can wait it out for an other 6 months than the esn will be taken off a list ....(i work for apple we do work through sprint and other.companies)
