Rare Genuine WWI Bacon Can. Marked Model OF 1916, Made in 1916 by S&G (Sturgis & Burns) Soldiers were issued these to hold their meat rations so they would not leak in their packs. Usual scratches and age scrapes, some original finish left. Someone wrote in marker on the end (used it for washer/nut/bolt storage) Looks great to be almost 100 years old! A great piece for a WWI collection!!
