FREE: vintage 3.5 kt genuine amethyst/marcasite stamped 925 ring

The listing, vintage 3.5 kt genuine amethyst/marcasite stamped 925 ring has ended.

First things first, I'm guessing at 3.5 KT for the amethyst. But, it's AT LEAST that. The stone has the rectangle facets, open in the back for breathing room, & is 1/4" x 1/8 & fairly deep. Def a nice size amethyst stone! Faceted well, with a whole lot of fire& flare, catches the light beautifully, as do the small marcasites. Now, let's get to the bad news, there are a total of 44 marcasites, & 5 of them are missing..:(( you really have to look close to notice, & I'm sure they can be replaced by a jeweler. But, really pretty to wear, as is honestly. I would. It's too small for me though. It seems to be a size 8, possibly a 7&1/2. It's from the 60's or 70's. Just the amethyst stone, & the material alone is worth something. Also, it being about 50 years old.
