This listing is for a min of 35 Hungarian Breadseed Poppies. 6 hardy heirloom variety produces urn shaped pods of steel blue seeds with a very fresh, nutty-sweet taste.

This Eastern European stain has luminous, ethereal white or pale lavender-pink petals with dark blue center blotches and blue-green toothed leaves. After the flowers bloom in spring and early summer, they drop their petals and form fat, urn shaped pods full of seeds. Let them turn brown and harden before snipping them off and storing in an open paper bag. When they completely dry, crack open and removed seeds to freezer to keep fresh.

It is recommended to directly sow outside in early spring. Seeds will overwinter and germinate when soil thaws. Blossoms and pods are largest when grown in cool temperatures. Barely cover in a finely textured, worked bed sowing as thinly as possible. Thin early if too dense but delay final 6" to 8" spacing until weather has settled. 7 to 14 day germination time. Full sun.
