Description
The listing, 4GB (x2 2GB Sticks) G.Skill Brand RAM DDR2 800MHz PC2-6400 for Desktop PC Computer has ended.
Up for auction is 4GB (total, there are two 2GB sticks) of G.Skill Brand SDRAM DDR2 800MHz PC2-6400 for a Desktop PC Computer. These are only about a year old and still retail for about $110.00. They work great; my brother's Motherboard died & I inherited these in her will ;) Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! :)
Free shipping & please ask if you have any questions before you bid! All Listia rules apply to my auctions, if you don't know what they are figure it out before you bid as I'm not responsible for you not knowing how things work!! I will only ship to a Listia verified address! All watchers & fans welcome & I will return the favor! Thanks & be sure to check out my other amazing auctions! ;)
I don't actually need these (My motherboard's full on RAM anyway and I actually have this exact same set...) but I just wanted to make some comments - namely, I saw in the comments that you're keeping these in a plastic bag - be careful about keeping that - those can conduct static. Despite the case which is made to help, a well-placed static shock will fry these faster than you can say "whoops" - there are anti-static bags that you can use - they're typically dark-colored and translucent. Just a thought
Thanks so much for the tip! I just took them out of the plastic bag right now!! I'll keep them covered with a cloth to protect from dust until I can find one of those bags you're talking about; any idea where I might find those (like Staples maybe?)? Thanks again!!! :)
You should be able to find it just fine at most any store with electronics though I'm not sure how much it'll cost or how few you'll be able to buy. Also, I might just be paranoid - RAM usually isn't *that* delicate and it does have a case covering most of the thing. In all honesty, thinking about it, you'd likely enough be fine with the plastic bag, but if it were me, I'd at least wrap it in something like newspaper, at least before shipping. I've heard of RAM surviving being shipped in a plastic baggie before without any trouble. It's just that I work with computer components fairly often and I have to be really careful - and if you ever take a ziploc bag and rub it against something, you can definitely feel the static. Hope this helps!
F&W. Rebecca, sorry to hear about your family's loss, but I have a place where they will be loved! LOL and please!!! like the above question...make sure they are clean (no dust) haha
Yes, I am sure this is 4 gigabytes total; there are 2 sticks that have 2gb on-board each. This is reflected on the stickers as they were sold as a pair, hence the x2 as in quantity 2, not multiplied by 2. Thanks!
the one`s that she has up there are are ddr2 not ddr3 has 2 slots in the brass and you can go to radio shack and they will sometimes give you the anti static bags which are the best thing to ship in and rite on box or anti static bag ok
Watching Rebecca! Great item! In case you find anybody that needs a bit more RAM than your set, I have an 8GB set up for auction now (2 x 4GB sticks). Also, we found our anti-static bags (you can see them in the auction pics) in a pack of 10 for just $6 at Fry's (like a Best Buy that is local in TX). They also will make it a lot safer when you ship them since you never know what kind of conditions or machines or scans the package will go through! Good luck with your auction!
