It looks like this requires connection to a mobile phone to work. It'd be helpful if you included the model number so we can look it up for ourselves.

Not sure I'm convinced this can connect to a home wireless network. All of the ones I find need a cell phone connection. I would love to be proven wrong if you just post a link to the amazon page you say you bought it from, or give us the model number.

according to http://www.pocketsurferweb.com/ it works right out of the box. It only needs wifi to access the internet, No cords, no phone neccesarry.

I retract my offer. This looks like the older model which does require a cell phone to connect to the network. The newer ones come with free internet.
