Swarovski Strass Crystals. Chandelier quality lead crystals. Strass is the Swarovski brand name for lead crystals used in chandeliers. These are from a major chandelier manufacturer's samples found in their “Sales Rep kits”. I am listing here on Listia in 2 separate auctions, all with no colored crystal duplicates. NOTE: There a third auction for 11 crystals by another manufacturer (Imperial). These are all, truly beautiful crystals. All three auctions are listed at the same time, so if these are something you are interested in getting, you will know just how grand your project can be if you get all the different colored crystals, in all three auctions. Got any project ideas yet?

When I found these, I thought what a cool find? Thinking that these might be a beader or jewelry makers jackpot. But then I read up on these and learned that since they are used for chandeliers, they contain an amount exceeding 30% of lead in the crystal, giving it more light refraction. So now, I believe the use in jewelry that makes contact with skin, should probably be avoided. Maybe I'm being too cautious, but I wanted to make sure you know of this. Also thinking that maybe these would be better for some sort of crafts. You're much more crafty than I, but I had thought of window light catchers, car review mirror bling, or some sort of accessory for a purse? Just add some other types of beads and create strands for whatever. Thinking there are plenty of cool uses....to be dreamed up by YOU!

Contains: 7 different Swarovski Strass colored crystals, plus one larger clear as shown in the photos. Only the crystals in the photos without the black mark running through them are in the auction you are currently viewing.
The small ones (about 14mm) are slightly smaller than a dime. The one large one (about 28mm), about the size of a nickel.
