This is a 1961 Topps #57 JOHNNY UNITAS In Action football card.
Unitas was a Hall of Fame quarterback from the Baltimore (now Indianapolis) Colts.

Unitas was "the man", the NFL's original super quarterback. He won more games than any QB in history until that time, and won 4 (!) NFL MVP awards, as well as 3 Pro Bowl MVPs. He was the winning QB in Super Bowl V as well as a 3-time NFL champion (counting pre-Super Bowl championships). Sporting News has consistently named Unitas one of the 5 greatest quarterbacks to ever play (jostling back and forth for #1 with Joe Montana). His records have mostly been broken since by the likes of Dan Marino, Brett Favre, and Drew Brees, but his legacy as a truly great QB and the godfather of the modern NFL quarterback position are hard to deny.
