WORKS GREAT!

There are some small scratches / cracks in the face plate that are hard to take pictures of. I tried to take pictures of them but they're hard to see. They're NOT visible at all when the screen is in use.

Includes a factory USB charger.

IT IS A 5th GENERATION!!

I just got off the phone with Apple support. I gave him the SERIAL NUMBER of the ipod and this is EXACTLY what was told to me, "it is an ipod classic 5th generation 30 GB manufactured in late 2006".

That's it period, end of discussion.

Guys it is a 5th gen iPod. I know because I have the exact same one. It came out long before the iPod Touch. This one is technically called the iPod Video 5th gen. It looks like the iPod Classic but it's the Video. The Classic came out last in this line of iPods (I consider the Classic the 6th gen) and that can still be purchased on Apples site. This one is basically the same except it has less storage space. The Classic has 128gb I believe. This is still a good iPod if you're not into apps and only want it for music and the occasional video. But yes this is the 5th gen of this particular line. Hope this explanation helps. Unsure of the total battery life but I have used it for few hours straight and still had plenty of battery life left.

You sure you have the correct information? That looks like an iPod Classic for photos and the iPod 5th Gen does not come in 30 gig.
