The listing, 1962 Topps Roger Maris #1 High Book Value $500, But Card Is In Poor Condition has ended.

You are bidding on a 1962 Topps Roger Maris #1 that is in rough to okay condition. Corners have gotten rounded, there is a crease along the top, and there are spots and some discoloring. Centering is also off. It is still a good vintage card and nice to add to a collection if you don't have one. Even with the issues with the high book value at $500 this card is still worth some money. The card will ship within 24 hours of the auction's end and it will ship via USPS First Class Mail with tracking. I only ship in the 50 United States. Is the crease on the brown border?

I believe it is right above the hat on the card, but not on the brown border. I will check and confirm when I get home.

I'm gonna let this one ride out because I want someone to have a chance to own a Maris no matter the price. Not many people can get a card like this for "free" money wise so I want everyone to have a chance. Thanks for the interest, but I don't want to do a gin. Good luck if you bid!

It is right above the hat, not on the border about a inch long

I actually had half-this set, with the Maris and Mantle cards 5 years ago...sold them with my master set of '58's and my half-sets of 59, 60, 61, 62, 63 & 65 to get married...it was well worth it! Now, my wife is letting me rebuild my '58 set again because she saw what I sacrificed for her because I love her that much. A hobby is a hobby...love is forever...but I still like to collect!

That's awesome man. Yeah I love doing this as a hobby. Some cards I want and others I'm okay not having. It's a shame that over the years it's become about money with so many " collectors". Sounds like she's a keeper man. The right one is always worth anything to keep. Good luck if you bid bud!
