Hi. I've always had a problem with necklaces such as this sticking out away from the skin in the front. How does this one lay?

I tested on myself. It doesn't lay all the way flat, but the chain makes it very comfortable. I think it's depends on people's neck or collar bone. The V shape is on my collar bone so it doesn't lay all the way flat.
