This vegetable looks somewhat like a carrot, but is off white in color. It is considered a hardy cool weather root crop vegetable as flavor is said to improve when allowed to mature in the ground through fall and into early winter months. Can be left in ground and harvested as desired.
Soaking seeds 24 hours before planting can improve germination. Sow in spring as soon as soil can be worked if you live in a cold winter area. Sow in mid-July to mid- September if you live in a mild winter area.
