Description

The listing, Popcorn ✿ STRAWBERRY LADYFINGER ✿ 10 seeds ✿ Organic has ended.

Here is a lovely Strawberry Ladyfinger popcorn. The kernels are small and pop to an almost hulless puff. The taste is delicate and the puffs are small. They can also be used as a decorative Indian corn, or ground to a corn meal or organic treat for pet chickens. We enjoyed growing this variety, as they were more compact than other types of corn, and they grow well in smaller home garden spaces. Do not grow near other corn varieties that bloom at the same time if saving seeds for sowing. Corn needs isolation. I could find very little information on this variety. I believe that they may have been a Strawberry Popcorn/Ladyfinger Popcorn cross long ago. Either way, they will be a fun addition to your garden as well. They are quite drought tolerant, and very little care is needed. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden.

They can be ground up as corn meal as well. Also someone is going to grow them and see if they work well in the young stage for mini corn cob stir-fry. We pop them and grind them up to add them to our chicken feed.
