The date on this coin is un readable, it looks like someone scratched it off probably when they counter stamped it. They did stuff to coins like that a hundred years ago I never could understand why.

Looks like aw and an, and the star of david and regular star..
it looks like a love token???? since it's on a penny, it must have belonged to poor folks, because, most love tokens are made from silver coins.... hope this helps???
