The listing, 1960's Brown Glazed Pottery Jar has ended.

My Grandmother had dishes with this kind of color and glaze to them. They were heavy and this is too. I think we called them Lava wear or something of that nature. This is not chipped or cracked. It could be used as a counter top storage container or just for decoration. I cannot do free shipping because we are on one income and I stay home with my autistic preschooler. Please be respectful and do not ask for free shipping.

hello. My grandmother had one of these and just called it a bean pot! Man could she make some awesome baked beans in that. I never saw her make anything else in it either! It is a very nice item, good luck on your sale!

Did she bake them in the oven, or did she use it on the stove? My grandmother had a set of dishes, mugs,and soup bowls with this pattern on it. I can still remember eating her home made beef macaroni soup out of the soup bowls! They were all super heavy, but they lasted a VERY long time.
