Description

The listing, Fur-Mink Stole. Dressy. Classy. Beautiful. has ended.

This is a 3-Mink Stole from Scruggs, Vandervoort & Barney's of St. Louis, MO. It is 53 inches long from the nose tip of the first mink to the tail tip of the third mink. Excellent condition & very soft. It has been kept well. No dampness or smell like sometimes occurs with furs.

The clasps are perfectly intact. The minks are varied in color from dark brown to blonde. I do not know the year it was made. The store began as a dry goods store in the late 1800's and ended as a high end department store in St Louis in the late 1960's. You are welcome to do your own research of course.

I will ship for free in the USA, but will not ship outside the USA, sorry. I will wrap the stole in new acid free paper & a proper storage box. If you have any questions, please ask. If I don't know the answer, I will research it to find out for you.

All Listian rules apply. Listia Verified Addresses ONLY. No buyer remorse. No rudeness in the comments please. Play nice & happy bidding.

Just a few fur tips for those interested in this item. The stole will need to be kept in a place that can maintain a temperature of about 50 degrees. Most people say to place moth balls with the fur, but the fur will begin to absorb the smell and it is really difficult to get the smell out. If you are going to store the fur for a lengthy amount of time, you should have it cleaned by a professional furrier. Do not allow the fur to get rained on excessively. If this occurs, the fur needs to be put in a drafty area so that it may air dry. Do not brush the fur. A cotton garment bag is the best thing to keep the fur stored in because it allows the fur to breathe Some people think a cedar chest or cedar chips are good for storing a fur, but in the heat of summer months, the cedar can spread its aroma and in-bed itself in the fur. Do not try to self-clean the fur. Always contact a professional to gather advice on how to handle the fur so that it will last for decades to come. Thank you.
