Beautiful 14K GFR1/20 (marked) necklace with diamond cut leaf design etched into pendant. The chain is approximately 20" long. The pendant is approximately 3/4" long.

What the marking means..
1/20 14K GFR means 1/20 of the karat (14k) Is mixed with Rhodium, which is a very good non tarnishing metal. Rhodium is what is mixed with yellow gold to make white gold jewelry.
And then 14k gold is transferred onto the top of the mix to look just as a normal 14k gold piece of jewelry would look. This is what makes 1/20 GFR jewelry better than a solid gold piece. It gives a more polished new look.

Gold-filled items are made to be almost exact & the closest to as solid gold items, but more affordable than solid gold. even with daily wear, can last five to 30 years but will eventually wear through. Gold filled is not the same as gold-plated jewelry & electroplated jewelry, so there is no comparison. Gold-filled items are 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating, and 17 to 25,000 times thicker than heavy gold electroplate.
