From what I have been told it is real silver. I'm not a coin person or expert in any way. I'm not a collector so I know very little about any of the coins I have sorry
These are both 1 Yuan coins. They are like our dollar coins. The 2nd coin with the man in military uniform is General Yuan Shih-kai. Each weigh 26.4 grams and contains .7555 of an ounce of silver. Not sure who is on the 1st one. Trying to make it out.
Well if they are smaller than a quarter then they are reproduction I just noticed that comment. The real ones are the size of a US Silver Dollar. If they are both that small they must be some kind of collecting repo.
The weights I quoted are for the full size coin, not sure what these would be made of or metal content. Know someone I can ask. They still look great
Measured my General Shih-kai 1Yuan amd it is right at 4 centimeters little over 1 1/2 inches. Mine is VERY circulated why I was so thrilled at the condition of yours. They're still definitely worth it to me. You can't really trust the silver content of Chinese circulated currency anyway. There. Silver coins and gold coins are great , but the silver content of their circulated coins varies quite a bit. Obviously there collector value is more beauty
