Questions & Comments
There is so much "made in China" jewelry on here stamped 925, that the jeweler's just roll their eyes if you take something in to them to verify. It's a shame really. Some of the sellers know they are selling "fake" sterling, and some are actually not aware. I have been stung twice... :)
You are right, I believe it was 2 times it happened to me, as well. The person that made this Ring was the one who actually sent me the original stone & solution to test items with. Of course it involves a small scratch test but I would rather know. Especially on something I won that I have grown "tired" of wearing, no longer fits or is not my style.,Before I pass it on or even List it, I check. Usual way before. I still have 2 of those "Sterling Baby Bracelets" that were always on Listia, years ago(maybe 2 or 3) that are So Fake. I forgot to throw them away. But once you have seen enough, you can almost tell by eye! Thanks for taking a look!
Really! It is heavy! Do you or have you worked with your hands, a lot at some time or now? I am a women, love this ring so much( especially as a friend made it!) but, I would wear it on my "pointer/first" finger & it would slip off. Would hate to have lost it, yet I cannot stand seeing it just sit in a drawer. If it was Gold, solid, right?! I would probably sell it. It really has a "primitive charm" to it. And will never be duplicated, by her
Oh wow!! What an awesome ring and handmade. Your friend done an excellent job. Def. watching!! Already a fan. Check out my auctions if you'd like. Thanks sweetie!!
I must tell her to "visit" this page! I told her that I would be listing it, I forgot to tell her when! Thanks for looking. I love it's "raw" primitive look. Already a fan of yours! Watching one of your cute dresses & another item:) thanks very much. Glad you like it!!
Hi! I will try my best, as soon as I find it, the Ring, that is! I know the room I put it in & the exact "drawer" but I must have taken it out. So, as soon as I locate the Ring( don't worry) it will be here, I will Find her marking & take a pic. PLEASE KNOW that Just Because a piece of jewelry is stamped 925 or Sterling, DOES NOT Necessarily Mean it is. A stamp can mean nothing, as in FAKE! I have tested 2 items I won on here & neither was Sterling or 925, as Marked. The reason I tested them is because one had a "strange shiny look, to me" the other was a bit too pliable. This one tests as Sterling. solid. Just to let you know in the future, you can't always go by a mark or stamp. Actually there are so many fakes, here( as far a metal content) buyer beware. Thanks for your interest & I will find it & try to get a clear pic
Hello, Cam! Of course the above describes how I feel about Your Auctions! And if anyone here has Not ever Seen them, YOU are missing out! Thanks so much, my comrade:) Now let's hope it warms up, soon! I am getting a bit claustro!
I have been stung on here also, with 7 rings, stamped 925, I tested them after receiving and they were not sterling silver. The person I beleive knew what she was selling, gave me back my credits, ASAP. told me to keep the rings too.
I forgot to answer this.,I emailed her to ask, but have not yet heard from her. When I went back to the Original Description, I did not notice abut nib about it. Her username is usuala if you would like to try to ask her. You may better get an answer through Listia mail, then the one I sent it to! Thanks for watching Sorry I could not be of more help to you.
He may be right. My friend Grecia, username: usuaia must be out & about. I can't reach her? But I remember her calling it "unfinished" & possibly part if that was referring to the back, I really appreciate your/your husband's comment! I love when people find an item interesting enough to want to find out more & discuss it. Thanks! You guys may want to take a look at some of her Jewelry auctions she has Listed right now. Some really beautiful & nice ones!
