Vintage Porcelain or Ceramic Blue Onion Blue Denube “Chibes” Spice Rack Jar Container; Like New!

Vintage blue transferware spice shaker; Perfect for your English or German spice jar collection. I have stored this shaker for many years it was my mother's, but, it has never been used. Probably not antique since it has a plastic cork, but,definitely vintage. Not worn – not even on the edges and has been carefully stored in a china cabinet for years. Measurements: 4 ¼ inches tall by 1 ¾ inches.
Condition:
Beautiful! No chips, no cracks, no chigger bites, no scuffs, no damages, and never used..

I will ship the item with bubble wrap the package with loads of packing materials in a large box with "FRAGILE" marked on all sides of the box. the word chibe means peppercorn. strong then our own black pepper but almost the same

would love this, my Aunt came from Germany ( war bride ) she has some pieces of this in her china. Her anniversary is coming up soon. I have no credits and they do not seem to be adding correctly. I use my iphone to take the photos. Maybe a good camera phone and a magnifying glass for jewelry in front of it's lens would work for you.

Just for reference....Here is a link to Old English lower case lettering. The bottle says "Chibes" . You can see this when you click the photo to enlarge. It has the "b" rather than the "v".

On the lettering chart link attached the "v" is much shorter even though the "b" has a different top here on the bottle and there is no break as a "v" would have.

Yes, someone has figured out that Chibes mean a pepper and I am looking at the bottle it has a "B" and says "Chibes" . There is no break anywhere in the "b".

All I can find in German online is chibe and chibebrau and none of the translator apps will say what this means. Still looking though....

Thinking it is a shortened word in German for part of the spice's name ....so that might make it harder to track down.
