Sorry, a little confused. You said it's a wind up, but takes a battery.....?? You would either have to wind it to keep it running, or it would have a battery to keep it running (quartz). I am blonde, so help me out here.

hello you have to pull the tab on top of watch to set the time then push it back in.. it takes batterys otherwise it will not run.. the tab on top is just to set the right time. i hope that exsplains it..
