By far, this is the most popular Okra grown in the area. Vigorous plants produce uniform, straight pods that are spineless, making harvest easier! Even before harvesting, the flowers are beautiful growing in the garden. Pick pods early, at around 4" or smaller. Can be served fried, cooked, or pickled. Very prolific and high yielding. Developed by Clemson University Very easy to grow and fun for kids.

This Auction: You will be receiving 10 seeds from my
garden. These are send for free. I am happy to say that my test seeds germinated within 3 days at a temp of 90°F. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 3-5 seeds per pot. About 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny location.

Well, I'm in California so the last Spring Frost is over I believe... is it too late for me to grow these??

I think it is perfect timing for you. You have a much longer growing season than we do. We don't even start our seed trays until April. Then we have frost in October, not much growing time for us in Wisconsin.
