I've never tried to switch to a GIN during an auction, so I can't be 100% sure about this, but I don't think you can do a GIN after a bid is placed.

As far as the pedal goes, I haven't tried this pedal yet but I do have other DigiTech gear and it's top notch. I would suspect whoever wins this is really gonna enjoy it.
