The listing, Seven Lockets: New, Used and Vintage has ended.
Up for auction: Seven lockets in silvertone, goldtone and antiqued brass. All items shown in the photos are included: three hearts; two ovals, and two "book-shaped" lockets.
I've included front, back and "locket-open" views. (The final more-blurry photo was taken with my camera phone at the last minute when I realized I needed to include a coin as a size reference.)
Three are bright silver; two are bright gold; one (the larger vintage piece at center) is antiqued-gold; and one (the small oval bottom-left) is I would call "antiqued brass.
All lockets open and shut securely and are in good condition.
I have bought them over the years, but to the best of my memory, none were genuine silver-plate or gold-plate. (And knowing my own wallet, I KNOW none were sold to me as 18k gold or sterling silver! LOL)
But they were beautiful when I bought them and still are. I find that some customers for hand-made jewelry REALLY love the opportunity to choose a locket to add on to their purchase, so as to make their piece much more personal. Now, they can keep their hand-written promise, prayer or sentimental photo close to them, all day long.)
As you can see in the photos, one locket already has a lobster clasp attached for instant use. (Easily removable, of course.) But even though it's a little bulky, some jewelry customers like a lobster clasp better than a jump ring because they can wear the same personal locket on any piece of jewelry they choose).
Happy bidding and happy jewelry-making!
