If you're nervous about someone accessing your hard drive data while you are gone . . . take the drive with you or remove it and put it in a safe. This framed unit fits inside a standard tower hard drive mounting bay in desktops/towers. Outside dimensions are 5-3/4" x 8-7/8" x 1-5/8". I'm including a 20gig hard drive with this that's blank (scrubbed with Killdisk, but ready for your data). They unit comes with two keys. This is designed for an IDE hook-up in the back. Yes, you can. The 20 is just laying in there with some padding and the hook-up. Remember, this is an IDE, not a SATA drive system.
