hi! no these are not hard, in fact, they are one of the easiest to propogate, and are very much like a cactus. they grow slow, so they die slow, giving u the chance to save them before they die off. the leaves get a puckered, flat look when they are too dry fo too long. if they start to get little hairy, white roots along the stem, they are getting too much water. the plugs i send are fully rooted, as for rooting new, I just pinch off the tops, and place it in the soil. the top will easily take root, and the bottom will produce babies to replace what u take off. hope this helps and thanks for looking! janet
well in the same family, yes, but these would be hard to do in that kind of pot, they are too fragile. the sedums are the perfect ones for boots, towers, and vertical gardens. they trail, n climb on everything! they are my favorite, and as soon as the weather breaks I will start listing some of them too!. thanks for looking! janet
