Description

The listing, Beautiful WWII/WW2 Gold German Mothers Cross has ended.

Up for grabs is a BEAUTIFUL WWII Gold 1st Class German mothers cross award. This medal and ribbon are in great shape and are 100% authentic and original. The gold cross is the 1st Class Order awarded to eligible mothers with eight or more children. The silver cross was a 2nd Class Order awarded to eligible mothers with six to seven children. The bronze cross was the 3rd Class Order awarded to eligible mothers with four to five children. The Mother's Cross (Cross of Honour to the German Mother) was a civilian award issued by the German Government during WWII in an effort to thank and recognize German mothers who had kids. The 3rd Reich understood the importance of population. They knew that the only way they could accomplished their goals was if there were enough people to carry on the tasks. The award was created in 1938. Again there were three types of crosses. The design was very much the same except for the color of the border of the cross and the starburst pattern. Once again this award is 100% authentic and original and in great condition!!!! I have taken some good close up photos for your viewing pleasure. This would make an amazing edition to any WWII collection! Any questions please feel free to ask!!! No rude comments please. If the listing bothers you than leave the page quietly. I do not glorify nor condone what the Nazis did but it is part of history and needs to be preserved. Thank you all so very much and happy bidding!!!!! As always FREE SHIPPING in the U.S.A.

Who told you that, haha??? Because that's just ridiculous! Look for yourself online and tell me where the law states that. There is not a single illegal WWII German anything minus certain weapons in this country. I have bought and sold so many items like this and including this that it would make your head spin. I think you got your facts wrong. Thanks for looking thou!!!

I think masterseaman must have watched the episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where the guys come across an old German solider's uniform from WWII (of which obviously had the swastika patches). They thought they could cash in big on selling it and took it to an attorney, I believe, who said it was extremely illegal to have that sort of thing in anyone's possession. The guys ended up burning the uniform at the end.

But when saw masterseaman's comment, I couldn't help but to laugh and think of that episode.

You shouldn't have to have a 'disclaimer' in your auction stating that you don't glorify or condone Nazis. I'm really getting tired of political correctness. It's an artifact. It was also called the 'Mutter' cross. It's the ultimate award glorifying prolife. Americans used the symbol of the red cross and a female nurse naming her "The Greatest Mother In The World" to promote procreation in America and for women to step up to aid the war effort. A lot of Nazi items were brought back to Ireland and US by soldiers themselves as souvenirs and the Hakenkreuz symbol ie Swastica has been in rune symbols from the beginning of time. Hopi's to Hindu's still use it. All ancient symbols have power. We still use symbols today. McDonalds, Microsoft, Nestle, etc. Symbols are powerful. Good auction.

Swastikas were originally considered good luck! Long before the Germans implemented it as what we as people of history see them as a horrible time in history! Don't know what that guy is smoking but illegal they are not!!!!! O Ya F&W wish I could bid! Great auction and great piece of HISTORY!!!!

Reply to owning it: If you're an American citizen you have constitutional protection to believe in any political system that you care for or are able to sell such items.
As for the flags and other trappings of NAZIs, you'll probably get flack from your neighbors if you display the stuff but it is perfectly legal to own and resell it. American soldiers would bring the stuff back with them to boast, resell or keep as momentos. That generation is passing and the grandkids are now getting rid of the stuff because of the legacy of Nazi's.

Hitler and his officers also took over any home or female they chose. You were not allowed to say "NO". Sorry, I didn't mean to rant, but this brings back a lot of memories and emotions.

Awesome auction. This is a piece of history that needs to be preserved and we as a country of people should demand that the history books reflect the truth and quit portraying Hilter as German. These people were as much a victim of his tyranny as the Jews were. They came into a home and demanded that the men join their army. If they declined to do so, their youngest child was shot in front of them. If they still declined, their wife was then shot in front of them. How many of your loved ones do you lose before you join and hope to escape through the tunnel system.

A lot of people believe Hilter to be German. He was in fact Austrian. His mother was a prostitute and his father a noble Jew. Little known fact, Hilter got his idea for superior race from the "Eugenics Society of North America" United States 1898. Eugenics was still practiced in North Carolina until 1969. They are currently having hearings about this even today.

With the exception of items made of human body parts of course... Check the news today a copy of Mein Kampf signed by Hitler just sold by auction. eBay doesn't allow a lot of nazi memorabilia but that's all it is at this point.. Remnants of a bad part of history that needs to be preserved just like the good parts (if not more) .... Awesome auction!!!!!

Thank you! And yes items made with human body parts are illegal to....I have only seen one such item in my life and it was a lamp shade made from human skin....needless to say I didn't want that in my collection. That was just to much for me!!! Thanks again and best of luck to you!!! Adam

Not only is this still legal, there are swastika's all over America, as it was a symbol usurped by the Nazi's from Tibet and other locations and mythologies. There's a building called the Elliott Square Building here in Buffalo that has many important entities renting in their office spaces. The entrances have dozens of swastika's in the intricate tilings of the floors. This building has marble mosaics that date to the year 1895 or 1896. I just can't recall which. I remember being shocked about it when I first entered the building back in 1988 while we were going to reroof it. After seeing it, I did some research on the building and that's when I found out when it was built.

On another note, my grandmother would have earned the gold cross almost twice over having had 15 kids. What would that have been made out of? Didn't matter though, they came here in the 20's or maybe the late teens. They died when my dad was 5 and 6, her first, I wonder why… 15 kids, oh the humanity! I stopped after one and now I have 2 step kids to boot. The heck with 15, I can barely stand the 3 I have to deal with!
