I am unaware of the metal composition, it is gold tone, but I have no way of knowing if it is actually gold

This knife is brass i had one at onetime this kind knife are really a collectors knife and it should be in a case

if it has any gold 24 18 14 10 k at all a simple test fyi.....if u get a magnet , not the thin kind like u put on a fridge, but thick ....gold and silver no matter the kt will not ever stick to it ;) that also goes for platnm.....I always chk any items bought in thrift stores like this and this is also the way jewelers chk before doing a scratch acid test if theres not any markings ......never fails ;)
