no it's for internal only

This is a 2.5" IDE PATA laptop hard drive. The picture shows that the pins currently have a small adapter on them for an older Dell Inspiron laptop drive bay, but is easily removable to expose the 44 pins for internal use. You can use this drive externally if you have an IDE 2.5" enclosure.

This drive is quite dated by modern standards and is for laptops from around 2005 and earlier. Hope this helps. It's a nice drive to get a an old laptop up and running again. Thanks for offering it on Listia.
