The listing, Baby Boy Polymer Keepsake (painted with reborn doll paints) has ended.
I made this baby out of clay, then baked it in a special oven that was new and never used with food. I painted it with reborn paints (3-4 very thin layers). The last thing I did was add the white felt diaper and added a bow to make make it stand out more . This baby has very fine details including blushing, creases and even veining (my camera isn't very good it looks much better in real life).. It measures only 2 1/2 inches long. It takes a lot of time to make one of these. Before the baby is baked, I use a mold to do the body of the baby. I then use clay tools and even a straight pin to do the details, make the baby stand out more and to change things. I then smooth the baby skin out using my fingers. Every baby is one of a kind. I love to make reborn baby dolls but I thought I would like to try making clay babies. I tried to add lots of picts. so you can see all around the baby.
