I am not a Scooba technician, but when I trouble shooted with customer service they said it could not be repaired and it was out of warranty. As with everything that is built and runs with an internal computer it breaks. Everything that is built is built with an unkown expiration.

I dont know. they are very hard to fix once the computer burns out. i got 6 years out of a refurbished one. they are a great machine
