My sister bought this waist cincher and wore it to an interview, then gave it to me. I wanted to wear it, but it fit me loosely. This is to be worn around the belly area or the waist area. It has a corset effect. It's supposed to smooth out that part of the body and is to be worn underneath clothing. I personally like this better than the ones that button in the crotch area because it is more comfortable to me. That is just a matter of preference though, so it will be trial and error when choosing a body shaper.
