I looked at the menu pad and the instruction manuel and couldn't figure it out; maybe someone else can but as far as I know the pop up flash doesn't work. If you bid and win do not expect the pop up flash to work. If it does then great, consider it a happy bonus!

I as well, am in it to win it ;) about a month ago i won an auction on here for a Canon eos rebel t3i, the guy was new and i had taken a chance on him, unfortunately it turned out to be a scam after i spent $80 buying credits from Listia because i so desperately wanted it, and $30 shipping charge, It was a complete scam, though i was able to file a dispute and get my credits back i wasnt able to get my shipping money back. That was a big mistake on my half for being to trusting of people! Though you have great feedback, i have confidence in you and im in this auction for the long run, I just know its going to get out of my reach, and i wish you all the best! I doubt ill be able to work up enough credits, but im definitely trying! Photography is my passion, and i hope to eventually be lucky enough to own a real camera as apposed to my cell phones camera, or my little point and shoot. Hi Becky, I was looking at your photos again and noticed something in one photo near the right hand side top corner, (right in front of the shutter release button). Is the rubber grip coming apart there or torn, or is it just a bad angle that makes it look like it is? Also, noticed in several photos the flash is up or open. Sorry to repeat the question again but it's important to me. Does the flash not fire no matter what setting you have the camera in? I'm trying to determine what exactly is the reason for it not working and how much this would cost to repair it. Thanks!

The rubber grip is in good shape; just a little piece at the top is loose (as you noticed); it doesn't affect the cameras performance and appears to stay the same without coming loose any more....The pop up flash doesn't appear to work...I don't know if it can be fixed and what that would cost. Hope that helps!

This camera would be AMAZING! I have the iphone 5s and I was all excited because I thought it had a "better" camera. flash may be deactivated on the Menu pad which is explained in the booklet , also this is about $875 . new if complete with charger and extra lens , this camera also has interchangeable lens with othe Canon digital and any canon Film that is a Rebel or has 7 copper lcontacts on the different lens .. Sorry to ask again about the flash and thanks for answering my other questions but I'm still a little unclear about the flash and how it's not working. I used to own a T1i so I'm very familiar about how the flash works on this camera. If the camera detects that there is not sufficient light while pressing down the shutter half way, then the flash will pop up automatically (in auto mode). You said the "flash does not go off" does this mean that it does pop up but does not flash or go off? Or does the flash not pop up at all no matter what setting you have in on? As Taylorgober1 mentioned, yes, it does take great photos without the flash and I'm well aware of the fact that you can buy an external flash to go the hot-shoe. I'm just trying to determine the facts so that I may make an intelligent decision on bidding high or not on this camera. Many thanks again.. Cheers!

Flash does not automatically pop up and does not work. It still takes beautiful pictures and yes you can buy an external flash if you choose. Hope this helps. Thank you!

Great Auction I have the T3i. What a awesome camera. The flash will not pop up until you push the flash button and the camera must be one. Yes they do take awesome pictures without the flash, you also can buy another flash so even if the flash does not work still a great camera Would make a great second camera for me so I will be bidding.you should do very well on this. Very expensive camera. Good luck.
