Wouldn't first class or weight-based priority mail be WAY cheaper for shipping?

how will i be able to ship a thick coat first class, when it doesnt fit in anything first class? over 1lb is not considered 1st class. anything over 14oz automatically rounds to 1lb or over. and if anyone is thinking about bidding only 1-2 credits on this coat; im def. shipping it priority and the winner needs to pay it or do not bid as stated in my listing. im boxing and taping it as well and driving it to the post office; and delivery confirmation is a must. thanks for your suggestion though. that was a good one.

i can check the other boxes that you are talking about, i sopose, i was thinking of that too, well i will check them out when i get to the post office and see if i can grab a couple for future reference. thanks alot, that is a good idea.

You're right about first class, sorry, I should have said parcel post; parcel post would be cheaper unless it weighs more than 8 or 9 lbs. Unless it weighs more than 5 lbs (including box), weight-based priority mail would be cheaper too to most places in the country. It's probably only about 2, maybe 3 lbs so that should be $11 at most, and if you pay for it online it's less yet and then delivery confirmation is free. Sorry, I have issues flat-rate shipping for lighter items, it's a waste of money. If you're shipping bricks, then flat-rate shipping is a good deal.

well i just use flat rate, i figure if someone has a problem with it, they just wont bid on it which is fine with me. 1 or 2 credits isnt doing anything for me, and if the shipping happens to go over 1 or 2 dollars, big whoopie. i dont complain over little things like that but if its a rip off of like 4-5 or more dollars, then i would be like ???? whoa. but then i just wouldnt bid. im not gna chew someones head off, they just wont get their item rid of unless i want it bad enough hehehe

Also, if you pay for it online, you can request a carrier pick-up so nobody has to drive to the post office. So I have little sympathy for people who complain about the inconvenience of having to drive to the post office when they'll come to you. :)

well if someone doesnt agree to what the shipping price is then they simply dont have to bid, they can simply just pass it up instead of finding something to complain and argue about. its not gonna hurt either one of us not to sell/buy from one another.
